Karen Templer is Salon's product manager and design director. From late 1996 to early 2000, she held a number of different jobs at Salon, including art director, interface director, and director of communities. She has worked with several other high-profile web companies and ran Readerville.com for nine years. She rejoined the Salon staff in August of 2009.
